Black and white photography captures the light, visual balance, and form of a moment in time. Some of these shots were shot originally in color, but making them black and white emphasizes the subjects in a way I intended, visually, at the moment of taking the photo.

Plus, black and white just plain looks classier.

I don't use color because it's more realistic. I shoot in color because of the life and vivacity it brings to a slice of time. These photos use color in a way I thought communicated more truthfully the experience of the moment I captured through the camera.
