I seriously considered joining them. Shofar I'm still not sure about the use of those things. I suppose we all have our own baffling rituals.

it looks OK in the daytime, but crossing it at night, in the pouring rain, while the bridge segments are shifting from side to side, with huge bundles of equipment on your back, lit only by harsh white lights shooting through the machinery for bananas... feels like a scene off of Jurassic park. the banana plantations are haunted! ¡fantasmas! So many questions... why the blue bags covering the stalks? Does that railroad still work? How many different name brands will these bananas be marketed under? Can everyone read the large signs warning about periodic pesticide cropdusting? Should I be worried that I've walked through these fields while the helicopters are coating them with chemicals? How has the exploitation of ethnic tensions among the employees of the United Fruit Company affected issues of race in Costa Rica today?I think too much. I'm just along to do magic tricks and balloon animals :)
Ah, there's one of the brands. Kudos if you can guess the other two banana brands I saw in this region.
