Better to write for yourself and have no public, than to write for the public and have no self.
~ Cyril Connolly
I write, first and foremost, because I must.
About every 5 months I fill a new journal, and from these writings I glean key thoughts and themes that constantly resurface. I share bits and fragments of them here for you to read and enjoy, including various links to publications, maps, photos, and videos that help express my interests, my life, and who I am.
This journal is set up differently than most. There are public posts that anyone can read, and then protected ones which require you to answer a question. The reason for this is that the better you know me, the more parts of the site you’ll be able to read. As much as I sometimes tempted to make all parts of this journal public, I am often specific in people and places I interact with, and for that reason I felt it necessary to make portions of the site protected. Anyways, I think it’s more fun that way, like a treasure hunt. If you can’t figure one out and you want to read it, let me know. |
